The regional winners of the 2022 Planet Push Picture Contest have just been announced. Though the contest has been operating for 65 years, this is the first time they’ve utilised a regional structure. About the Environment Press Image Contest

For 2022, the competition adopted a regional model, with six locations:

- Europe
- North and Central America
- South The us
- Southeast Asia and Oceania

- Singles, for single publicity images.
- Tales, for 3-10 similar pictures.
- Very long-term Jobs, for 24-30 related photographs on a single topic.
- Open up Format, a new category that authorized “a assortment and/or mixture of storytelling mediums in which the key visual information is however pictures.”
The fresh structure pays off
The regional format would seem to have labored. For the 2022 competitors, additional than 64,000 pictures were submitted by 4,066 photographers from 130 nations around the world around the globe.

New York-centered Bangladeshi photographer Ismail Ferdous received the Stories category for “The People Who Feed the United States,” a sequence of portraits of migrants who operate in the US meatpacking field.
