PEORIA — Local photographer Ava Kamm bought a bit much more than she planned when she went to test out the clearance sale at Peoria Camera Shop earlier this year.

Kamm, whose function features portraits, true estate images and the puppies of Peoria, stopped in to search for digital camera tripods and other devices following the relatives of late owner Bill Dobbins declared the store’s 84-12 months run would stop following Dobbins’ loss of life.

“The men that worked there instructed me I must obtain the digital camera shop,” she advised the Journal Star. “I thought it basically sounded type of enjoyable, then I did the investigate and figured out how it could all do the job. … Turns out, it truly is a terrific minor business.”

Peoria Digicam Store initial opened in downtown Peoria in 1937, transferring from Monroe Road to Key Road then shifting to the Metro Centre in 1990.
