Robert P. Foley 80, of Brunswick, ME, died peacefully, Sunday May 15, 2022. He was born June 25, 1941 in Nashua, NH to Charles and Geneva (Perkins) Foley. Robert graduated from Glenbrook Significant College in Northbrook, IL and ongoing his education at Marlboro Faculty in Vermont, acquiring a degree in 18th Century New England Architecture. In 1963 he married his childhood sweetheart, Polly Sears. In 1963, on a vacation to Newport, RI they transpired upon the Peter Simon Property on Bridge Avenue. He vowed to buy the dwelling and restore it if it at any time came on the industry. In 1964, it did and he and Polly produced good on the assure. Throughout that time they welcomed two little ones, Bradford and Emily. Polly and Robert divorced in 1971. Robert remained in Newport for 48 yrs. He is survived by his son Bradford and wife Jennifer Foley of Bowdoinham, ME and his daughter Emily Foley of Sandwich, MA, grandsons, Jameson and wife Ann Foley of Vineland, NJ, and Benjamin Foley of Bend, OR, and a good granddaughter, Charlotte Autumn Foley of Vineland, NJ, and a niece and quite a few nephews on both his predeceased sisters’ side of the relatives. He was predeceased by his sisters, Eleanor Foley Lesieur and Barbara Foley Lesieur and his parents.
