Suami dari Wali Kota Semarang, Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu (Mbak Ita), Alwin Basri (AB), has filed a pretrial lawsuit regarding his suspect status. Alwin submitted the lawsuit to the South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel). As per the PN Jaksel’s SIPP site on Friday (10/1/2025), the lawsuit was registered under case number 2/Pid.Pra/2025/PN JKT.SEL dated January 6, 2025. The case classification is the validity of the suspect designation. The plaintiff in this lawsuit is Alwin Basri, and the defendant is the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The specifics of the lawsuit’s request have not been disclosed yet.
Prior to Alwin’s action, Ita had also filed a pretrial lawsuit at PN Jaksel regarding the suspect designation in a corruption case within Semarang City Government. The trial process is currently ongoing. In this case, the KPK (Corruption Eradication Commission) has named four individuals as suspects. KPK’s spokesperson, Tessa Mahardhika, confirmed sending notifications of the start of investigation (SPDP) to these suspects.
The corruption investigation in Semarang City Government encompasses three main areas: procurement of goods and services, extortion, and alleged acceptance of gratuities. KPK has imposed travel restrictions on two state officials and two private individuals involved in the cases.
KPK investigators conducted a series of searches at Semarang City Government offices, including the workspace of the Deputy Mayor of Semarang and the Secretary of Semarang City. This workspace was utilized by Ita during her tenure as the Mayor of Semarang. Additionally, Ita’s personal residence in Semarang was also searched by the KPK.
